Leaving the Kings House Hotel, the only building for many miles along this stretch of the West Highland Way. I looked towards Glen Coe, past the A82 bridge that spans the River Etive, as I made my way towards the Devil's Staircase. This place was briefly shown in the recent James Bond movie, Skyfall.
Scottish Bluebells On The Hillside
An entire field full of Scottish Bluebells on a hillside on the shores of Loch Lomond. Legend has it that fairies live among the flowers and will cast evil spells on those who trample through them!
Flame of Water
Taken as the wake of the tour boats crashed against the rocks on the island of Staffa, in Scotland. The island name comes from the Norse word for pillar, because the Vikings discovered it first. Besides the natural pillars lining the entire wall of the small island, it is also known for Fingal's Cave.
